There are other ways to make the game difficult, and in my opinion, nerfing resources seems cheap. Animals will be abundant come post-apocalypse, or not. So why should that be nerfed in the name of balancing/realism? Same goes with food from animals. In a REAL survival situation, if you find snow, you ARE golden for water while the snow pack lasts. Resources do not simply vanish because of a zombie outbreak, especially when it appears there are just a few people alive hahaha. Is this 'post-apocalyptic survival situation', several months after the infection spread, or hundreds of years after hahahaha Everyone is acting like it should be impossible to find resources because of this epidemic, but honestly, there would be plenty of resources. Since one snowball and one empty jar converts to one boiled water, I do not have to worry about water for the rest of the game. As it is right now, I hit the snow biome once during a playthrough to get about 300 snowballs in about 3 minutes of shovelling. Now if they could do the same thing for water. Ok i know TFP want it to be a challenge to survive, and im all for that, but fighting like that just to find the food to survive the game, is insane. Then when it was 14.00 hours on day 2 and i was done loooting, i then intensified the search for animals to kill so i could survive, but when the time showed 20.00 without seeing a single one, i quit that game for good. Ok thought i could do with this and the few food cans i had found for the first night, and then continue my hunt on day 2.ĭay 2 i went out, initially thinking oh well i might as well loot a few of the near POIs, and watch out for animals while i cleared thoose, but i saw none, not even the smallest of them. Ran on for 6 ingame hours, in a game with the longest possible days, before i saw the first animal. Ok, started up a new SP game in Navezgane, as i cant accept POI dissappearing on random gen, needed food, and went on a hunt for them when i had the basic needs covered, ran for hours, looking everywhere, started in the maple forest, saw none, then ran through the pine forest up towards the snow area, as i though snow usualy packs some animals.
